Neuro-IOM: A Multifunctional Modular Platform for Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM)

Neuro-IOM is a multifunctional modular platform designed for intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM). It provides critical information to medical professionals, enabling early detection of potential nerve tissue damage during surgery, thereby helping to prevent neurological deficits.

Currently, IONM is considered essential in various types of surgeries across many countries, including spinal surgeries, brain surgeries, and brainstem surgeries. In particular, during spinal surgeries (e.g., scoliosis correction), IONM data plays a pivotal role in real-time surgical decision-making. The technology has been increasingly adopted worldwide.

Russia’s First IOM System – Neuro-IOM

Neuro-IOM is the first intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring system developed in Russia by Neurosoft, leveraging years of experience in developing and manufacturing neurophysiological devices. This system quickly entered the market, setting a new standard for Russian innovation in this field.

Since its registration in Russia, Neuro-IOM has also achieved CE certification for European sales. It is now successfully deployed in over 100 systems across hospitals and medical facilities in countries such as Russia, Brazil, France, Jordan, Turkey, and Bulgaria.

Comprehensive Solution for Effective Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring

Neuro-IOM is equipped with a standard configuration suitable for all types of neurosurgeries, offering precise control over neural pathways even in complex cases through motor evoked potentials (MEPs).

Key Hardware Features:

  • A 32-channel amplifier and a 4-channel cranial electrical stimulator with an output of up to 1000V.
  • Support for various pulse waveforms for flexibility during monitoring.

Key Specifications

  • 64 amplifier inputs (32 bipolar channels).
  • 2 dedicated channels for Electromyography (EMG), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), and Evoked Potentials (EP).
  • 12-channel electrical stimulator.
  • 2-channel direct nerve stimulation.
  • 4-channel cranial electrical stimulation.
  • Channels for auditory, visual, and pattern stimulation.
  • Electrical stimulation (ES) detection channels.

The system includes recording and stimulation pods with 5-meter cables, ensuring that electrodes maintain a safe distance from the operating table to facilitate the surgical team’s mobility. It also comes with specially designed electrode sets, a PC, and pre-installed software.

Over 10 Monitoring Modes Available During Surgery

Neuro-IOM offers more than 10 intraoperative monitoring modes, including:

  • Direct nerve stimulation.
  • Real-time EMG.
  • Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SEP).
  • Motor Evoked Potentials (MEP).
  • Auditory Evoked Potentials (AEP).
  • Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP).
  • Electroencephalography (EEG).
  • Electrocorticography (ECoG).
  • Direct cortical stimulation.
  • Train-of-Four (TOF) stimulation.

Powerful Stimulator

The Neuro-IOM cranial electrical stimulator delivers an output of up to 1000V, stimulating the brain’s motor cortex to record motor evoked potentials (MEPs) in muscles. It supports various stimulation types, including single pulses, train pulses, double trains, and train + pulse combinations. Its built-in electronic switch allows for a wide range of stimulation options.

Flexible Configuration and Customizable Settings

The Neuro-IOM.Net software offers predefined templates tailored to various surgical procedures. These templates include optimal monitoring modes, window layouts, and acquisition/stimulation parameters for each procedure.

Users can modify and save these templates to meet specific requirements, providing unparalleled flexibility. Such a level of customization is rarely found in IOM systems worldwide.
Note: Some options may not be available in certain regions.
