sEEG Depthalon Depth Electrode
The sEEG Depthalon Depth Electrode is a minimally invasive depth electrode with a small diameter and up to 16 contact points. Compared to traditional depth electrodes, its diameter is 30% smaller, making it significantly less invasive.
The placement process for PMT's sEEG depth electrodes is streamlined, allowing for time efficiency due to the simplified procedure involving anchor bolts and electrodes.
Features of sEEG Depthalon Epilepsy Electrodes
1. Less Invasive Design
- The electrode has a 0.8mm diameter, making it less invasive than conventional electrodes.
2. Multiple Stylet Options
- Available with either a removable stylet or a permanent stylet, offering flexibility for different procedures.
3. Ready-to-Ship
- Always in stock and available for immediate shipment.
4. CSF Leak Prevention Cap
- Includes a blank cap to prevent cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage through the anchor bolt before sEEG implantation.
5. Multiple Channel Options
- Offers a variety of configurations with 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, or 16 channels to suit different surgical needs.
Anchor Bolt Features
Gravity-Resistant
Design:
The anchor bolts are attached to an anchor bolt driver to prevent
issues related to gravity during insertion.
Reduced
Electrode Rotation:
Designed to minimize sEEG electrode rotation when tightening the cap.
The placement process has been optimized by reducing the number of steps
for both anchor bolt insertion and electrode placement, resulting
in a shorter procedure time.
PMT provides placement kits that are compatible
with nearly all major stereotactic frames/systems,
ensuring versatility and ease of use in different surgical settings.
